Family Formation is a truly innovative K-6th grade Catholic religious education program used by parishes and families across the US and Canada. Based on the principle that "Parents are the primary educators in the Faith" [General Directory for Catechesis (GDC) 255, Family Formation] revolves around weekly family gatherings and home lessons. This shared learning experience spills over into the family's everyday life.

The children really had fun with this one (ages 6 up to 11). They all understand that the two books of the bible go together and are interrelated. What a wonderful lesson this was for our family!

I've always found this to be true in my own family's life. My kids loved the lessons with competitive games and silly puns like Uncle Luigi teaching how the Church is like a pizza (the cheese is like the Holy Spirit, binding us all together). Not only are they fun, but they often turn out to have been the most memorable lessons.

St. John Bosco approves!

I agree, Heather. There's definitely a time of parenting where you wonder if there will EVER be any progress and then someone actually remembers their own Bible or you get to the end of Mass and realize you actually got to pray! It's a wonderful thing, but persistence is the key.
