Try prolonging your celebration of Easter by using some of your Family Formation materials throughout the 50 days of this greatest celebration of the Church year:

• Use the Paschal Candle you made from the Holy Week Activities packet on your prayer table during Easter.  Light it each Sunday as you pray the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary together.  If you didn’t do this activity, any white pillar candle will serve the same purpose.
• Do a little review on the Easter story with the Holy Treasure Hunt activity from page 8 of March’s lesson on Holy Week.  If you didn’t choose to do that activity before Easter, it’ll be a nice way to reword the story (and, secretly test your kids’ memory of the events).  If you did do it during Holy Week, try it in a couple weeks – it’ll be a fun reviews.
• This month’s Resurrection Appearances of Jesus book could easily be spread out over the 7 weeks of the Easter season.  There are 14 pages of Scripture references and one longer quote from Philippians 2:6-11 on the last page.  Try doing two pages each Sunday and end your prayer time by reading the Philippians verse.
• And of course, be sure to update your prayer table!  White or gold candles and prayer table cloths are perfect for Easter!  Display your Alleluia banner somewhere nearby and add pictures of the Resurrection or a cross without a corpus for reminders that He Has Risen!
