On the day of Baptism, your child’s godparents promised to assist you in your duty as Christian parents. They are to serve as trusty witnesses to the faith and as a spiritual example, but unless they have frequent contact with your child, it’s up to you to help foster that relationship.
From time to time, consider giving them a little update on your child’s spiritual progress by sending them a Family Formation project that was completed with special care. This month’s Glory Be “Attitude” Booklet can be just such a project. Each activity page gives your child a chance to draw or write a way they can live out a Beatitude. Just as it gives you insight into your child’s faith life, it can keep godparents updated as well. At the very least, it’ll serve as a (re) invitation for them to get involved. At best, it can serve as a discussion point or the start of a correspondence on spiritual matters. And all for the cost of a manila envelope and a little bit of postage!
