Logos Catechism of the Catholic Church

October 11, 2012

Hello Everyone,

Seeing how this is the first day of The Year of Faith, one great tool of the faith that you may be unaware of is Logos Bible Software.

Logos is a software program which runs different packages, mainly scriptural packages.  I strongly suggest you take a look at the 9 Volume Catechism of the Catholic Church package for only $50 (be sure to watch the video on their website).

What do you get with the package?:

  • The Catechism of the Catholic Church 2nd ed.
  • RSV Bible (Catholic Edition)
  • Douay Rheims Bible
  • All the documents of the Second Vatican Council
  • All the documents of the First Vatican Council
  • All the documents of the Council of Trent
  • The Catechism of the Council of Trent
  • The Catholic Lectionary
  • The ability to search for key words or phrases in all the documents and see how the results interpenetrate each document…watch the video to see this in action
  • Have this be on your computer, phone, and/or pad all at the same time.

If you are serious about purchasing the program, watch the video I created about basic set up and use of the program.

(It is best if you go to Vimeo and view the video full size in HD to see all the details.  Click on full screen and then turn scaling off in the top right corner of the screen).

Logos is a fantastic resource which I have been using for a few months now.  I love it.  While there are many other Catholic packages you can purchase if you have the means and  desire, the 9 Volume Catechism of the Catholic Church package is so cheap, has so many important documents, and does so much with those documents, I do not know why you would not purchase the program.

Have fun learning more about your faith in the Year of Faith!

Yours in Christ,

Matthew Brounstein
