Turning the tables

The upcoming lesson on Confirmation starts out as a review of all the Sacraments, and a little basic information on just what happens each time we receive one.  If you have reason to believe this isn’t new information for your students we still encourage you to cover it, but perhaps with a twist.

Instead of you (oh wise and all-knowing teacher) imparting all the information, you might want to turn the teaching role over to your kids and have them tell you everything they know about Sacraments.

What is a Sacrament?

How many are there?

Name the seven Sacraments.

Which one do we always receive first?

Which ones leave a permanent mark on your soul?

Which three go together to initiate us into the Church?

By making your kids the teachers, you’ll save time, initiate discussion, and pretty much eliminate the need for the quiz at the end.  Your students will get a chance to shine and you get to shake things up a bit.  It’s a great way to review!

  1. Great reminder – the kids love it when they can show off their knowledge and teach each other. We’ll do this!
