Today is the feast of our Guardian Angels and I really encourage you to celebrate in some small way.  Kids love the fact that there’s a strong, personal Someone watching over them and that this angel was chosen especially for your child is beautiful evidence of God’s loving  care.

If you have a little extra time, you can decorate your prayer table to reflect the day, re-play Angel Bingo from September’s Home Lesson, and dig out that angel-shaped cookie cutter from your Christmas stuff to make tonight’s dessert.  If you don’t have prep time, be sure to pray the Guardian Angel prayer together before bedtime and thank God for this wonderful gift!

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.  Amen.
