Pastors, ministry leaders, and parish educators

Please join us for an informational and experiential workshop on Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 8:15 am – 3:00 pm.

Family Formation:

  • is a family catechesis program for K-6 graders and their parents
  • is based on the principle that “Parents are the primary educators of their children in the Faith.” (GDC 255)
  • Revolves around weekly family gatherings and home lessons providing shared learning experiences that spill over into the family’s everyday life
  • Has a 25+ year history of producing great spiritual fruit within families
  • Is spreading across the US and beyond as the answer to the current catechetical crisis
  • Has an adult education and formation component at its core
  • Is faithful to the mageristerium and has received an imprimatur
  • Is driven by Sacred Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Follows the 3-year liturgical cycle

Family Formation will equip parents in your parish to pass on the Catholic Faith to their children, enabling all to grow in their faith together as a family.  Family Formation produces a unique, challenging, and creative curriculum that is family-based, includes adult catechesis and training for parents, is solidly grounded in the Truth and teachings of the Catholic Church, and is designed to encourage all family members to embrace living and learning the Faith as a life-long adventure.

Family Formation for parishes includes:

  • Adult formation and grade-specific classroom curriculum for monthly parish gatherings
  • Weekly family home lessons which equip parents, enabling them to be the primary educators of their children in the Faith
  • Monthly training for volunteer classroom catechists

The event is free of charge, but we do ask you to reserve your spot by April 9, 2012.  If you need more information, or would like to RSVP, please call the Family Formation office at the Church of Saint Paul (763-757-1148) or email deb@churchofsaintpaul.com
