This one is for you Great Adventure Bible Timeline fans of all ages.

  • Title: The Great Adventure Storybook
  • Publisher: Ascension Press
  • Full Text or Bible Stories
  • Protestant, Catholic, Good for Either
  • Recommended Ages: Best for confident readers
  • Pros:
    • Color-coded to correspond to the Bible Timeline System to help you figure out where each book fits into the overall story.
    • Connects the stories to our Catholic Faith (rosary connections, sacraments, etc.)
    • Extra information to place events in the context of the timeline
    • Reflection questions will be helpful for some.
    • Nice illustrations.
    • Think of this book as a study Bible for kids
  • Notes: If an adult in the family were studying the Bible Timeline, this would be a good addition to family Bible reading.

  • Protestant, Catholic, Good for Either
  • Recommended Ages: Teens and adults
  • Pros:
    • Embossed leather cover, ribbon bookmarks, printed “tabs” on the page edges, lays open nicely.  Overall, a lovely book!
    • The main feature of this Bible is the color-coding to correspond to the Bible Timeline System to help you figure out “where each book fits into the overall story.”
    • Maps
    • Extra information to place events in the context of the timeline
    • The day by day Timeline reading plan
  • Cons:
    • $60 (but it really is a nice book)
    • It seems to be on backorder
    • And possibly only available on the Ascension Press site (I’m not finding it on Amazon anyway)
