“Dad,” Lucy said, “remember, you promised to help me with my Girl Scout badge today?”
“That’s right, Lucy, but I forget what this badge was about,” Dad said as he scratched his head.
“It’s about newspapers, remember?” she said with a little smile. “I have to write a report on the ways we tell other people who someone else is. I have to show why the person is important for others to hear about.”
“Well, maybe we will get to it after dinner today. But keep thinking about who you want to talk about.”
“Come on, Kids, it is time to get ready for Mass,” Mom called out in her usual nice, but firm, voice. “We have to review our Scriptures before we can go.”
Everyone took his or her seat around the kitchen table, and Dad opened up the Bible to the Gospel of Mark. As he finished, Lucy was already jumping up and down.
“Dad, I found my important person for my badge report!” she screamed in the direction of Vincent’s ear. “It’s Jesus!”

“Well, that’s great Lucy! Which aspects of Jesus do you want to write about? There are so many to choose from,” Dad answered.
“We just heard some, Dad, and I will just write all the things we just heard.”
“There were many ways people identified Jesus in this reading,” Mom said. “They identified Him as a powerful healer and as One who expels demons.”
Then Mary Clare added, “Then Mark shows how Jesus was a man of great prayer.”
“He is also shown as a preacher,” Dad said, “and here in Verse 37, He says, ‘Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also.’ (Mark 1:37) Jesus was not only a proclaimer of the Good News, He was the Good News!”
Lucy agreed, “Jesus did many things and helped many people. There are many ways to talk about Jesus, and I do not want to leave any out. What should I do, Dad?”
“I think you should pray and ask Jesus to help you to know the best way to tell others about Himself,” Dad figured.
After a minute, Lucy said, “I will just write that Jesus was the Holy One of God!”
“That just about says it all,” Mom smiled.
“And it is even better!” Lucy reasoned. “Just think of all the writing and paper I’m saving in my report!”
