Saints’ Stories

In case the easiest possible lesson format hasn’t enticed you to do this week’s Home Lesson yet, here’s a little extra incentive:

On Sunday, the Pope will officially announce that Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha will soon be named SAINT Kateri!

Known as the Lily of the Mohawks, Kateri was a convert and catechist to the Mohawk – Algonquin people in what is now upstate New York/Canada.  She beatified in 1980 and is already known as a patron of stewardship of the environment.

Be sure to listen to more of her story on the CD from your February Home Lesson packet, and thank God for this new saint as part of our heavenly family!
