Flashcards are a great way to memorize just about any set of short answer facts and the Commandments are no exception. Using 10 index cards, write the text of a Commandment on each and its corresponding number on the back.
Start by laying the first three face up on a table and challenge your student to arrange them in order. The numbers on the back give this game a self-checking feature which can be helpful if you’re not available to play along. When your student can consistently get those three in order, add the last seven. Be sure to point out that the first three teach about our duty toward God and the last seven teach about how we should treat each other.
