Heart of the Lesson: Catholic Social Teaching

social teaching

This lesson has the easiest layout ever!

If you have younger kids or are new to the topic, go directly to the coloring book and just work your way through it as a family.  If you’d like to go deeper, you still want to start with the coloring book, although you may view it more as a source of information if your 6th grader is resistant to actually getting out the crayons J.  After that though, turn to the blue lesson pages and learn more about the biblical support for Catholic social teaching (or more accurately, how the principles of Catholic social teaching flow from the teachings of Scripture), and then explore some of the other resources listed to help your family get more involved in practical ways.

This is always a great topic, but especially during Lent when we are all called to grow in the area of almsgiving!
