We’ve got a couple things in the works here in the Family Formation office, but we would LOVE to hear your ideas as well!

Deb just took a call from a DRE who is making arrangements for her families to make a Faith Banner  or a cement stepping stone (using the rock/church connections from Matthew 7:24-25 or Matthew 16:18).

Building on the major Year of Faith themes of the Creed and the Catechism, we offered a free copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church to all our catechists at our training session this past week, and we’re planning to offer them at a reduced cost to all our parents this fall.  In addition, we developed a handout on using the Catechism that we’re hoping will be useful to beginners.  You’re welcome to print and distribute them if you’d like.

And, finally, we’re right in the middle of our program kickoff craziness, but when that all settles down a little later this week,  I’ll post details on a piece of our plan to encourage parents to get more familiar with the Catechism.   Think along the lines of a WOG Log for parents.  😉
